REBUILD THE JERSEY SHORE was started in order to help "Mom and Pop" businesses in New Jersey that lost everything. Businesses that might not be able to recover on their own without help, and businesses that some insurance companies can't help because of legalities. Small businesses are the lifeblood of this country, and its important to take care of them in their time of need.

Help us by supporting the businesses that display their products on this site. They are all local businesses that have ties to the shore. Or you can donate directly to our organization as well. We are a 501(c)3 non-profit and all donations are tax deductible.

We are from Jersey, from the East Coast, and "Tougher than the Rest." Tear us down and we will come back stronger. Destroy our communities and we will rebuild. New Jersey is our home, and we'll do all we can to keep it.

So as we build our community of small businesses we ask that you support us all. We will come back strong. Cause that's what America is all about! We hold our ground, we take the punches and we survive and thrive.

But if you're from Jersey, you already know that. Sorry about preaching to the choir.

Thanks

REBUILD THE JERSEY SHORE

REBUILD THE JERSEY SHORE is a non-profit organization based out of the state of New Jersey. It's purpose is to help those devastated by Hurricane Sandy and its aftermath by bringing together local businesses and other supporters to aid in the recovery effort.

We started working towards helping New Jersey, but after seeing the photos and videos from across the country, we decided to expand our reach. Relief from Hurricane Sandy is desperately needed, not just in the Jersey Shore, but from Maryland to Rhode Island, New York to Connecticut. Our mission is to help as many people affected by the storm as we can.

Nobody could have anticipated the damage inflicted by the super storm. Homes and businesses were washed away and people continue to struggle to rebuild. Hurricane Sandy leveled entire shore communities that have had a strong presence in New Jersey for over a century. Sandy took us all by surprise. And kicked us hard.

There are countless personal stories of those affected by the storm. One close friend told how he opened his door to a wave of water at 10:30pm the night of the hurricane in Toms River, New Jersey. He was able to get his van out but everything else was lost.

He lives over a mile away from the water.
